Resort Brainstorm!!

I am starting to compile ideas for when free dining dates get released. One of the huge thoughts I have is which resort to pick. Last year I stayed at ASM during free dining, but I didn't upgrade to a preferred room and ended up staying in the last building and it was a 10 minute trip to the lobby one way...(so it was not ideal). This year I am going to stay for 9 days instead of 7 and pay for preferred (much easier on the troop). So here is my question.......

Should I pay for the preferred at a value or chose a moderate and run a risk of staying far out again. What is the difference in price, do you think?

The dining isn't an issue we enjoy quick and table service and would make arrangements for such. I am just wondering if the prices would be close(ish).

with all stars always check how close you are to the other ones - sometimes staying music and sports the qs was actually close at another All stars.

would upgrade to Pop - love it!!! if can't stay on my DVC - then it is the first choice.

of the moderates would go with PO (R or FQ) - FQ is smaller and you might like it better.

You can price it right now, really, because IF they announce free dining, you have to pay rack rate for the room.

FQ was excluded from the last free dining offers, so it would be a poor choice if you're counting on FD.

Just go online and do a dummy booking for the different resorts to see what the price differences would be. Be careful when selecting room categories at the different resorts, as that will result in a significant difference in price. If you're concerned about resort size, the mods have preferred rooms, too.
