Resort Benefits for Renters???

Hi!
It looks like we are going to be able to rent some points!!!! I was wondering about what benefits are available to renters (other than the obvious rooms, transportation from airport, and extra hours!) What about tickets, shows, dining, ect. Also, if we do not recieve our first choice of vacation club, is there any way for a renter to try and move?

Most of the benefits are those extended to any WDW resort guest. Some DVC member benefits may be available - like dining - but be aware that you could be asked for your DVC membership card for the discount. Restaurants are not always consistent in how they apply these discounts.

You would definitely get Early Entry, DME, be eligible for DDP (you'd pay that at check-in but need to have it reserved by the member in advance).

If you don't get your first choice of resort, you would not be able to move. DVC members don't have that option unless availability opens up and a new reservation can be made thru Member Services, but you would not have access to that as a renter.

As for tickets, you would need to have a DVC membership card and also be able to prove that you reside at the same address as the member.

I wouldn't plan on any discounts, but be pleasantly surprised if some are available to you.

While technically correct, DVC will often give the perks and discounts to renters that ask and present the KTTW card.
