I've been reading about discounts and have noticed that people talk about having to jump on them as soon as they are released in order to get availability. I have some questions about that:
1. Which resort(s) (across value, mod, deluxe, villas) fill up last?
2. About how quickly do the resort rooms with discounts fill once the discount is released?(hours, days, weeks?)
3. When a discount is released, e.g., Dis Visa then a little later for AP, are those room discounts essentially from the same inventory, in effect making the first one released a better one to "jump on" if it's one available to you, even if it's a little less of a discount than the latter one, just to make sure you actually get a discounted room?
I understand the codes are to fill inventory, I'm just trying to see how it works so I can figure out how quickly I need to do my math and planning when trying to book with a discount. I'm a DVC member short on points but not willing to forgo my annual Disney trip, so I'm hoping I can snag a discounted room for our next trip. Thanks in advance for any advice.
