I am looking for some constructive input. We are going and have a DVC reservation for Saratoga Springs, however we are able to add on to the beginning of our trip. We are 2 adults (39,36) and 2 teen girls (17,15). A rental car is not presently an option for us. Out last 2 trips were both at Coranado Springs, a great place--but please not there again for us.

We are considering:

A. Booking at a Value Resort for 2 (hopefully ) connecting rooms.
B. Booking a room at Port Orleans (one of the ones that can sleep up to 5).
C. Booking off-site at a location that offers shuttle service to parks.

Either A or B would save us transportation as we could use (I think) Magical Express. Personally, I am leaning in preference of A, then B then C.

What do you experts out there think?

Why two rooms at a value? The four of you will fit in one room unless it is a case of the teens not wanting to share a bed.

The section of POR that has the trundle bed is the AB section. The trundle bed is small, maybe someone could provide the exact size but I am not sure if your teenage daughters would fit.

If you are just going for a couple of nights I would say one room at one of the values would be the way to go.

not sure why you would need two rooms for short stay either

The values are inexpensive, clean, high traffic resorts that we have stayed at a few times but with our own transportation - seems like buses are usually full to these resorts and it might be alittle harder getting around from here.

Just returned from a stay at port orleans-riverside - really enjoyed this resort
seemed homier to me than cr, rooms larger than values and come with fridge & coffee maker also privacy curtain to seperate bathroom sink area from beds.

If your looking to save money stay at the value but i'd only get one room. if you want alittle more space and quite i'd stay at one of the port orleans also geting only one room.

Its only for a few days so whatever you decide i'm sure your'll manage for a short stay - it will also make you appreciate your dvc stay sooo much more

have a great trip

A dissenting opinion here - I think 2 rooms at a value is a great idea. It will give the grown ups and the teens each a little privacy, a little more breathing room, and most important of all, 2 bathrooms (a perk of great value with 2 teenage girls!)

I also agree
I would either do 2 rooms at a value or try to get into OKW for 2 extra nights...the 2 queen beds in a stuido are much better than 2 full's at another hotel.
