Resizing Images

Does anyone know how to resize images? I want to put a few pictures of me and my family in my siggie. But I don't know how to make the images smaller. Any and all help is greatly appreciated...

If you upload your pictures to tinypic.com, there's a resize option available in a drop-down menu.

picnik.com also has a resizer, it's what I always use.

Picnik is what I usually use but I never know exactly what sizes to put i. Do you know for a siggie?
