Has anyone stayed at any of the residence inns in the orlando area? waht did you think of them?

My family stayed at the Residence Inn Seaworld/International Dr. last February. We usually get the 2BDR/2BA. We absolutely love them!

We stayed at Residence Inn less than a mile from DTD, I think that is Lake Buena Vista. It was very nice, 2BR/2BA and free Breakfast Buffet every day. It was a little over $180 a night with tax, but that was in June of 2002.

We stayed at the Residence in Lake Buena Vista (right across from Downtown Disney) in Dec. 2003. We got a 2BR/2BA and we liked it so much that we are staying there again this year. The rooms were spacious and clean. The free breakfast was decent, although not fantastic. It was very convenient to eat breakfast at the hotel in the morning and not have to worry about eating in the room or going to a restaurant. We also loved having a refrigerator in the room for milk and snacks.

A co-worker of mine always stays at the RI at Sea World and won't stay anywhere else. She loves it. She will be there at Thanksgiving.

Just returned from the Sea World Residence Inn last night.
What a beautiful place!! We loved it.
I have pictures if you want to see any let me know.

I would love to see photos. I've read mixed reviews about this hotel and have considered cancelling our reservation.

Can you tell me how the access is to the playground/pool etc. Also, is there better areas/floors to stay on?

Thanks so much!

I can't imagine anyone saying anything bad about this hotel, and I'm a hotel snob!! LOL
Access to the pool and playground was backside of the first floor. I think there were about three ways into the areas.
I would say backside would be the best area to stay in, anywhere really.

our room, sorry it was messy at the time. It's a double queen studio:

It didn't seem to small to me. It was fine, people did come back and swim after the park closed. That wouldn't mkae me stay there or not. I've stayed at Disney resorts when the pools have been full. I'm sure when it's hot, the pools are busier.

We stayed there (Lake Buena Viasta location) a couple of years ago and LOVED the hotel. I just booked it again for Thanksgiving week (for a pre-DVC stay), snagged a 2 b/r for $143. per night. The pool is very nice, BTW. :sunny:

I have stayed at 2 of the Residence Inns. Twice at the one in LBV very close to WDW and just recently stayed at the RI Sea World. Both of them were great in my opinion. If I was going on look and pool alone, I would go for the Sea World location. If you need to be close to WDW, the LBV is your best bet, although the Sea World location isn't very far either.

I have to agree with CPM. I can't imagine what people would have to complain about at the Res Inn Sea World.

Bump, someone just PM'd me for the pictures.
Here ya go.

Has anyone ever stayed in the penthouse at resident inn?

Didn't realize Residence Inns have penhouses. They don't list a rate for that kind of room.
