Looking at either Residence Inn, Garden Grove or Homewood Suites, Main Gate.

Any suggestions?

I won't have a car but both have door to door shuttle and free breakfast.

thank you!

Just from a hotel stand point, I prefer Homewood suites. Not only do they serve breakfast everyday, if you stay there Mon-Thurs, they also include dinner and drinks! They do change the menu daily so it's not always the same thing everyday. And some homewood suites , when they mean "drinks"--that means alcohol! I once stayed in one and there was beer on tap! As much as you want to drink. I'm not a beer drinker so I didn't indulge and can't judge the quality, but thats a nice perk.

You may also want to consider Homewood suites convention center, closer than residence inn garden grove, next to toy story shuttle, less than a year old.

Residence Inn has the same Mon-Thurs snacks at night. Thank you....
Is this true of all Residence Inns? We are staying at the Residence Inn Anaheim Maingate and I saw no mention of this, just the complimentary breakfast.

I've stayed at RI in several locations and they all had the evening social. I'd call to confirm if it's not on the website though.

We stayed at RI Maingate and were extremely disappointed in the evening offerings. Barely a snack some nights.

There are 2 homewood suites right by Disney- the one at the convention center was incredible. The social was an actual dinner- we had nachos one night and teriyaki chicken and rice another. Both nights had salad and fruit and the breakfast was fabulous. The other homewood suites is older and right by Target- I believe that is the one w/ the shuttle. The one at the convention center doesn't have a shuttle, but we walked over to the toy story parking lot and jumped on their busses.

Do you know anything about how it works?
You give them your list in the morning and it's delivered to your room or you can pick it up at the front desk. I actually emailed because we needed distilled water for my husband's CPAP machine the first night and we wouldn't be there by 8 AM to get them the list, the manager dropped it off that afternoon. It's a totally FREE service. The cost of the groceries is added to your bill.

We are staying at the Homewood in a couple of weeks. Do you know if you can send them a list for check in day? We are arriving later in the day and I am not sure how much time we will have to shop that night

I called and they gave me the manager's email to send the list to so we had it the first day and they got it at Target. But we didn't need much.
