Anybody stay here? What did you think? Staying two nights pre disney in November.

Can anyone comment on the drive time to WDW in the morning for park opening from the Res Inn SW/Int'l? I booked it when we only planned to go to Universal, but I couldn't help myself and just added Disney to the itinerary! Wondering if I should book a split stay now.

Also, Google maps wants me to take I-4 S down to the parks, but wondering if I-Drive is the better option.

Thanks for any help!

I-drive is seldom a better option to anywhere. I-4 can be a bit slow at peak times, but it moves and the distance is not great. It's probably almost as quick to get the WDW as it is to Universal.

You could take Westwood Dr at the RI to I-Drive down to Vineland and enter via Downtown Disney if you want. Personally, I'd just stay In I-drive all the way to Osceloa Parkway and take a right. Less stoplights to deal with. To me, the busier portion of I-drive is Sea World area and north.

We stayed here on our last trip and we loved it. Our room was extremely nice, the pool was great (and heated), it was quiet, and they had a very good breakfast in the morning. The drive was not bad at all to WDW or Universal, and was very convenient to Sea World. Have fun! :thumbsup2

Stayed here for three nights after a cruise and enjoyed our stay. The rooms were clean and nice. And after being in a cruise ship stateroom the one bedroom villa felt huge!! LOL! They had a nice pool, breakfast buffet, pizza hut express and bar with food options all by the pool. It worked out great as we were just doing Sea World and Aquatica.

Several years back stayed in the same area when DH was on a conference and did go to WDW. I took the kids everyday to the parks while he was at the conference and I just hopped on I-4. It wasn't bad at all, sometimes it was a little slow in the morning but not awful. It was very easy to get too from there.

I'm assuming the breakfast is not an additionl cost? Can you please share what items are on the buffet?

Elizabeth

I'm hoping to take a trip to Discovery Cove, and I love staying at Residence Inns. Usually very good breakfast offerings, and rooms are so spacious. We stay at them whenever possible when traveling with our very tall 19 year old son. And husband and I are plus sized, too! So glad to hear there is a good one in the area!

I don't mean to hijack this thread, but wanted to ask if this is the Residence Inn with the water slides and splash pad in the pool area? We are also big fans of Residence Inns and are considering this hotel for a Sea World/Legoland trip over the summer. We may also spend some time at Disney so the info about the driving directions is very helpful :thumbsup2
