Hi!

I'm looking to possibly stay here for the first part of our August vacation. There are five of us so we need more than just one hotel room. I trust Marriott as we are Marriott rewards members, but Trip Advisor had some really bad reviews about this property being old and run down. Anyone have any recent experiences? Thanks!:)

We stayed at the RI SeaWorld during Christmas week 2012, and enjoyed it very much. While not new, we found the property to be in good repair. If you check out my trip report (see the link to the December report in my signature) there are tons of photos of our room, the common areas, and the recreational areas (pool, hot tub, sport court, etc.).

Thanks, Gina!! I just checked out the pictures in your TR. It looks very nice! I do trust Marriott properties in general, but the Trip Advisor reviews just plain scared me! I feel much better about staying there now!:)

We stayed in a studio this past Christmas break, for 10 nights. It was fine. There was a big breakfast area, and while not the most up to date decor, it was fine. My DS did not like the sofa bed that much, but he never wanted to switch with my DD. The room was large, and having a kitchen was nice. My kids enjoyed the pool area too. Parking was never that bad, and very close to the 4 Highway and DC and SW and Aquadica. Also, tons of restaurants along the Parkway and I Drive.

We are gold and asked for a higher level room, not facing the highway when we checked in. Both requests were met, we were on the 3rd floor overlooking the front.

How much time are you going to spend in the room? As long as a room is clean, I don't mind not as fancy decor.

I hope you have a great time this summer!

Thanks!! Yes a clean room is more important than fancy anytime! Glad you mentioned to request a room not facing the highway- will be sure to do so.:)
