Hello everyone! I haven't been on the forums in awhile (I try to stay away when I'm not in trip planning mode) but I'm currently planning for an off-site Disney and Universal Studios trip for the summer!

Our flights are booked, the rental car is booked, and we have the Disney annual pass so tickets and parking are paid for. Our next step is choosing the right hotel! We are huge fans of Residence Inns, and have previously always stayed at the Residence Inn Orlando Convention Center. We love the hotel, and it's not too far from Disney or Universal.

As we have been planning I have booked rooms at 3 Orlando Residence Inns, and now I'm trying to narrow them down to one:

Residence Inn Orlando Convention Center
Residence Inn Orlando Airport
Residence Inn Orlando Lake Buena Vista

We love the convention center hotel, but some of the rooms at the other two (depending on 1 or 2 bedroom) are cheaper. We could do the 1 bedroom at any of them, but we liked the idea of having 2 bathrooms. We will be staying for over a week, so we want to make the right decision!

Does anyone have any experiences at any of these 3 hotels? Any preferences or comparisons? They all seem to have mostly good reviews, so I'm looking for more opinions. Thank you in advance!

I'm a huge Residence Inn fan as well. I have stayed at Residence Inn LBV and Residence Inn Orlando Convention Center (is this the one on Universal Blvd, right behind International Drive?). Both were good, clean, and spacious, but I like the location of the LBV one better since it is closer to Disney and the shopping outlets. The Convention Center one, I remember having trouble finding parking in the lot late at night (after midnight).

You can't go wrong with any of the three, but my last choice would be the one at the airport only because of the distance from the parks.

Have you considered Residence Inn at Sea World? We've stayed at that one and it is very good as well. Close to everything, a good assortment of restaurants near by, and nice rooms too (but request one that is not on the first floor as we found those to be quite noisy). Good luck with your decision!

Thank you for your input! I did look into Residence Inn at Sea World but the price was more expensive than the other three. Yes, the Convention Center one is the one on Universal Blvd. We consider that one our "home" hotel, but it's currently the most expensive out of all three. Orlando Airport is the cheapest, but as you said it is further from the parks.

I guess right now I'm torn between LBV and CC! I'm glad to hear your input, it helps make the decision a little easier. I guess in the end no decision will be a bad one! :)
