I am sure that this has been discussed before but I don't see anything recently now that WLV has opened. Apologies in advance ......


Suppose I choose to own at OKW for simple financial reasons of resale points and maintenance....what likelihood do I have to secure reservations at Boardwalk in a 1 bedroom during Choice vs Magic season at the 7 month window. Will I ever get a chance at standard view. How about WLV?

Also does anyone have comments regarding owning at BWV and trying to stay at WLV at the 7 month window or vice versa.

I would only be able to afford a small points package and plan to stay Sun-Thurs to maximize points. I suspect everyone else has the same idea and this will probably book up faster than the weekend.

I know that I should own at the resort I most wish to stay at but I would ideally like the flexibility to alternate between resorts every year.

We own at OKW and have booked at BW several times. If fact I just booked my children there for July and it was 3 months in advance. They are staying in a studio. We have booked a 2 bedroom and once were lucky enough to get a GV there. I have also stayed at HH without any trouble. I have stayed during spring break and at Christmas. I may be just lucky, but I have never had any problem booking any time I wanted to go. I do try and book as far in advance as I can if I want something special, like a GV. I did want a GV at Vero one time but that wasn't possible. I could get 2 2-bedrooms though. Good luck with your choice.

Thanks for the feedback...its very encouraging to see that I could get into BWV and WLV at 7 months.

Is there any one out there who has had the complete opposite experience?

By the way is there any historical data on which days are most popular and which size units.

The first week of December at Boardwalk has been popular the past 2 years. I was lucky to get a standard 1 bedroom when I called on the 11 month mark of my checkout day right at 9:00am last January (Dec 1 to 7). Others who called later in the day had problems, some nights early in the week were soldout.

Just an FYI:

Disney offers CM's additional discounts on purchases (I believe cms get 35% - then an additional 20%) about two weeks before Christmas! It runs during a weekend. If you plan on shopping during this time, please be aware of this. We all treat our friends well, especially knowing that they may reciprocate!

I did not encounter mistreatment in any way. Just a longer wait at check out!
