I just received our Annual Passholder Exchange Certificates. I now want to reserve our room (129 days out). How do I go about doing that?

I went to the Disney World web site and went into the passholders page, however I could not figure out what to put in for the required number on the back of the certificate (solid green card by the way). Is there a certain place I should be trying to reserve our room? Once I get this reservation complete then am I assured of the lowest published rate that will become available?

Thanks

I maybe wrong but I think you have to have the actual pass (not the certificate) for the logging in of the numbers.........
Also I wrote asking about the same question you are asking, for some reason I thought that if you booked the "best rate plan" that if passholder rates came available it would be automatically applied to my reservation.......this is the response I got.............
Dear Cheryl,

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

Please know that the Passholder "Best Rate Program" is a discounted offer and is not rack rate.

If a guest makes any type of reservation and wishes to apply a discount at a later time, the
discount is not guaranteed.

There are no automatic or guaranteed conversion to
discounts on reservations once made. Special offers are
offered on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

We appreciate your understanding.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if applicable on all
correspondence.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

So I didn't see any sense in worrying about booking 120 days out and plus losing 1 nights deposit if I cancelled..........so I just went ahead and booked a moderate hoping for codes for passholders or residents later on (last year they were released on Aug. 28) If codes become available I will try to get a deluxe or try to have a code put on my reservation that I have already. If not a moderate is Ok with me.
IMO there are to many rules concerning the best rate plan and I would just rather take my chances.

Yes, you can use your exchange certificates. I was able to access everything. The numbers are a little confusing the enter, I had to juggle them a bit to get them to work. There is post on this thread or the codes and rates thread describing exactly what you have to do.
