Reserving a Grand Villa

How difficult to reserve a Grand Villa at a resort that is not your home resort? Thinking OKW Aug/Sept. What's your experience?

GVs are a hot commodity but the good news for you is that OKW has the most and Aug./Sep should be doable at 7 months (Sep. is about the easiest of all months to book) if you have a little flexibility with the dates. I think you will be successful. Good luck and have fun! The OKW GVs are amazing. We added on at OKW just to get 11 month window for GVs!

I'd agree that late August and early September are good times to reserve at 7 months.

Actually, SSR has the most GVs (36) and OKW is second with 27. So if there is no availability at OKW, be sure to consider SSR.

I was able to book a GV at SSR for Easter week at the 7 month window. We own at BWV, and Easter week was way too many points for us. At the 7 month mark, I tried first to get an OKW GV, but they only had some of the days available and I didn't want to gamble with the wait list. I was offered AKV and SSR, and took SSR only because we were going to have 8 teenage boys with us and thought SSR would be a better fit than AKV.

If you keep your options flexible, I'm sure you will get something that will make you happy. Good luck!
