Does anyone know if I buy reserved seating at F! or reserved standing at WOC and upgrade to an AP on the day I arrive at DL, will they give me credit for the discount that day? Or am I making up these discounts? Maybe there are no discounts for reserved shows.

On a similar note what are the DL perks that have to be paid at time of reservations, and what don't have to be paid until the date of use? Character meals - day of use, right? Tours?

There are no refunds on reserved activities F! or WOC, right? And they have to be paid for ahead of time, right?

You don't pay for character meals until you check in, unless you have pre purchased your tickets from GAT or something. But if you do that, you don't get an AP discount.

I don't think you get a discount for the Fantasmic dessert reserved seating.

Fantasmic! seating doesn't have an AP discount.

Prepaid items include: WOC picnics, tours and Fantasmic! seating. I'm not sure if you will get any refund if you book a tour then upgrade to an AP before the tour, if I was in this situation I'd probably go by Guest Services and ask. I wouldn't even bother with a refund on the WOC picnics, its only $1.50 off.

Hmm. I will end up calling and asking, but just to confound my request, I need to know if I buy an AP at DL online and then buy the tour, for example, will there be a problem because the AP is not activated?

I'm not 100% certain but I believe others have stated that they could not book the tour in advance without an activated AP. Same goes for Halloween party tickets (for anyone else reading).

Thanks for the information, DISers. I'll let you know if anything worth sharing happens if I call.

I'd go with the other's about the tours, but I made reservations last weekend for the Blue Bayou and then again for this weekend at Ariel's for seating at World of Color - I fully plan to use my discount, and from prior experience, reservations are just that.. and when the bill arrives, I give them my discount card.

I usually always call to talk to real people when I do things like this so I can ask them all my crazy questions. ... ..

"If I fail to show up to for my dining reservation, will I get banned from making anymore reservations?" ;)

Fantasmic! must be paid in advance, there are no refunds, and there is no discount for AP holders.

WoC dinners (not picnic) are not prepaid, you pay at the table, and if you present your AP at the dinner, you do get a discount.

Character meals are paid for when you eat.

As others have mentioned above, you won't be able to book any tours and get the AP discount without an activated AP. We purchased our APs online and I booked one of the tours over the phone. They weren't able to give me the discount because my AP hadn't been activated yet. I was afraid if I waited until I got to the parks to reserve the tour, they might all be full, so I went ahead and reserved the tour, but I had to pay full price. They require payment at the time the tour is reserved, and there is no discount/credit once you get to the parks and activate your AP. :)
