Hi, long time browser, first time poster. I wanted to know how important it is to get guaranteed seating by eating @ Tusker House for the lunch package. I am going to be @ Disney 8/22-8/30. I am trying to free up a table service credit and don't really care whether or not we go to Tusker House. We do want to see the Nemo show though. Thanks:dance3:

Welcome to the DIS!

You don't have to have a dinner package to be able to go and see the show. If you do cancel the meal though, you will need to be waiting in line for the show a good while beforehand, but a lot depends on how busy it is when you are there. Late August should not be as bad as early August .... but that said, with all the different promotions and free dining, it is virtually impossible to predict.

We missed Nemo the musical last visit and wanted to hit it this time.

I was not aware it was difficult to get in - was expecting something like festival of the lion king. This post seems to suggest it's more like fantasmic (with dinner packages that guaranteed you seating but longer waits for those not in the package) - is this the case?

How far in advance of the show do you need to get in line for an early July trip?

By having a 1:00 lunch at Tusker House it guarantees you seating for the 3:15 Nemo show. You have to call dining to make this reservation. I think you could get it without Tusker House package, but you need to line up possibly an hour before showtime. You said you were going early July, a crowded time. If it a priority to see this show I would do the Nemo package, if you can even get reservations as you are well past the 180 day mark. I wish you good luck. Have a great trip!!!

Not sure if this is a change since it seemed like previously we waited outside longer...but we were there 6/1(the day after Memorial Day) and went to the 11:30 Nemo show at 11 expecting to get in line and were pleasantly surprised to find that they now just let you into the theaters that early. Guess there might be a line if people start getting there well in advance, but this was the first show of the day, and we just walked right in. 30 min in advance we sat in about the 5th row.

FOTLK, they were letting people in for the 3:30 show as we were leaving the 2:30 show (but it was pouring at the time!).
