I read somewhere that on one of the tours you get reserved seating for the new fireworks. I was wondering if anyone did this or knows where the seating is? I understand that the best view is where you can see the castle and Matterhorn in the hub. So is that where the seating is? We're trying to decide on whether to do a tour or not and the fireworks seating(if it's a good spot that we don't have to stake out hours in advance as well as stand forever holding kis on our shoulders so they can see) would be a deciding factor. Thanks for any insights.

bump. If anyone has any info. on the reserved seating for fireworks from the tour out there, I'd appreciate it. I went to WDW lots as a child and DL once when little and have yet to see the fireworks over the castle. So this is important to me to make sure my kids get to see them as well as me(of course, LOL) I am still a child at heart :rotfl2:

I just had the opportunity to watch the fireworks from the premium viewing area last Thursday.

The Imagination to Celebration 50th anniversary tour has premium seating for the fireworks if you take the last tour of the day. The premium seating is a section roped off on the Train Station platform. From this vantage point you can see the fireworks explode over the castle. You get a great view of the castle, Matterhorn, and the fireworks show, including Tinkerbell.

A good way to explain it is, when you are down in the hub area, you are in the show - the fireworks explode around you and it's loud. From the Train Station platform, you watch the show unfold. The nice thing about it is that you do not have to fight for a spot, and no one is standing in front of you.

I decided to watch the fireworks from the area directly behind the premium viewing, and waited about an hour before the fireworks began. I enjoyed talking to Shannon, a CM Tour Guide, and the nicest gal. Because of Shannon, I got to have a Magical Moment at Disneyland, which was so cool. :)

Here are some pics I took:
