We are celebrating my sons 3rd birthday at Animal Kingdom. We have a party of 10 and I really want to have lunch together(we are going to separate at the park). I know it has to be quick service because of price and time, is there any way because we are celebrating to make sure we get get seated together/next to each other? I know there aren't reservations but any ideas? Flame Tree was my top choice because of all the outside seating locations but will will be closed for refurb while we are there. Thanks!

Eat at an off time (11am or 2pm, for example) in order to avoid the peak lunch times.

Absolutely sit down for lunch at off times; I'd recommend earlier than later. We were at WDW during peak holiday season, with a party of 9, and were able to sit at various quick service restaurants throughout the parks by eating early (some places had earlier opening hours due to holiday scheduling). No lines and lots of table available.

Have a great time!

There is no way to "hold" a quick service table other than physically occupying it.

Yep, don't try this at peak mealtime. Although all of the AK CS have a pretty large amount of seating.

Ok so what would be a good way to go about eating at off peak times? Adults skip breakfast and give the kids a light, small breakfast?

Does it HAVE to be lunch??? When we did our AK day this past October we ate a light dinner at Pizzafari around 5PM an pretty much had the whole place to ourselves.

Knowing what time of year you will be trying this will make a huge difference in the advice you will get. Christmas week and mid February are very different as to what you may be able to do.

Hi
Just adding a link to allears menu
CS AK Pizzafari breakfast menu
http://allears.net/dining/menu/pizzafari/breakfast
looks like kids breakfast platter is $4.99
the drink will add up though unless you could take juice boxes but I don't know if this is allowed.

I agree with the others. The QS restaurants are very crowded during traditional lunch times. I would suggest getting there at 11 am when lunch starts to get the tables you need. There is no way to guarantee or reserve a QS table and those who have their food in-hand get first dibs. Pretty much everyone in WDW is celebrating something, so they don't make exceptions for celebrations.

We typically eat a light breakfast in our room before heading out in the morning - granola bars, fruit, cereal boxes, bagels, milk, coffee, juice, etc. - all things you can either pack or purchase in the QS at your resort. We are then ready to eat a regular lunch around 11 - 11:30 am.

We do what others have suggested, granola bar and fruit in room and early lunch. As a family of 8 we have always been able to find places to eat, but we have gone at slower times of the year.
