Reserve Orlando 3rd Party Ticket Seller Warning

If it's the wrong board, I'm sorry.

They were suggested by Touring Plans which I've trusted for over 20 years. I've used other 3rd party sellers through them.

These folks informed me AFTER I bought the ticket that they would send me my link code 30 days prior to arrival!

I said, "We're onsite. I need it now. 60 days prior."

They are supposed to be reaching out to Disney for a code and Disney will email me.

I'm on the phone with Disney and the ticket specialist said this was all new to him.

Not. Happy.
 
Buried in the FAQ on the Disney World product page:
If you are a Walt Disney World Resort guest, you can take advantage of receiving your FastPass+ linking code within 60 days prior to your arrival. You can contact our customer service department on the 60-day mark, and we will request your linking code (which takes 2-3 business days to receive). If you do not contact us, we will submit your order as a 30-day guest. Once received, the My Disney Experience number will be emailed to you automatically. Again, the 60-day feature is only available for guests staying on a Disney Resort property.
That's absolutely silly. Email Touring Pans and let them know. This goes directly against their advice.

That's crazy. Can they refund you and you purchase new tickets from Disney since you're already there?

Just to be clear, the OP saying "We're onsite" does not mean that their party is already at WDW.
It just means that they have reservations at a WDW resort for their upcoming trip.
 
FlightCenter pulled the same thing on me. They hold the money, make interest on it and don’t buy your tickets until they have to. They tried to tell me it was a Disney policy. I called BS and will never do any business with them again.

Yes, and that's IF they realize they aren't getting the code properly. Thankfully, I knew what to look for but if I was a first timer and learning I'm pretty sure I would have been out of luck with any of the big rides.

Heck, even if they are requesting at 30 days, it still apparently takes time for them to get a code and you're really missing out on FP.

I saved over $100 on two 10 day PH tickets through Undercover Tourist. I bought my tickets around 1:30 pm and had my codes by 8 am the next morning. There are reputable companies out there.

Surely, this was the not the intended message of the advice given.

My take would be to not do business with a problematic ticket seller, but
anyone with WDW experience knows that there are many reputable and "hassle-free" authorized ticket resellers/discounters doing business.

Well, I kind of thought one recommended by Touring Plans would be reputable.
