Reserve 3 rooms with AP rate?

I have heard that it is possible for an AP holder to reserve up to three rooms at a time at the current discounted rate, but I have never seen anything official from DW and am wondering how it is done.

I am staying at WL with my family, my sister's family, and my parents. Currently, I have 3 rooms reserved, under my name, my Dad's name, and my brother-in-law. They are all tied together with a "Grand Gatherings" number. Only my family has APs. To get the discount rate do I have to reserve all three rooms in my name? Do I have to pay for all 3 rooms?

The CMs have been unclear and conflicting on this and I don't want any confusion when we all arrive.

Thanks for any help you can give.

What I have done and I believe this is the way it works, is you have to book all three rooms under your name and in one reservation number. You then give them the names of each person in each room. Now if you want several reservations, then you book your room, your DW can book another room and if you have a child with AP, book a room with his AP. Although, it is much simpler to do all in one and have everyone just pay you their part.

I booked 3 rooms for our trip in June. I am the only one with the AP so I had to book all three rooms. My family is paying me, before we go so that we are all squared away money wise.
Like Ratpack stated I have one reservation # and provided the names of each guest that will be in each room along with the ages of the children.
It was easy and painless. Now I do not know what will happen at check in, regarding charging back to the room, but we will cross that bridge when we get there.

Did this in December.

I had 3 rooms in my name, 3 in DH's name. They ask for names of everyone on each ressie. When I called to make the deposits, I put it all on different credit cards....you don't have to do it all on yours if you don't want to! I put one night's deposit for one room on 6 different cards (DH's parents, my mom, his brother my brother, uncles, ours). If they don't give you the card numbers, give the rest of your party the confirmation number and let them call in their deposit (although I did all of ours so I knew who had/had not paid). We paid it off before arrival, so I called back and put the balance of one room on 6 different cards. If we didn't do that, we would "split" the reservation at check-in and each room would have the appropriate deposit and whoever is staying in it would pay it at check-in with their own card.

If you're checking in with the rooms paid off, just ask them to "split" the reservation so that each room can have a different credit card left for charging privileges. Warning...some CM's don't know how to do this or that it can be done because the CM "in the back" has to do it...front desk CM can't....just ask them to ask the supervisor if they don't know what to do to get it split....only took 5 extra minutes for all 6 to be split apart....worth the wait in my book!!

We had 3 other rooms, too, but they were already separate from the others....

Our experience was the same as Ratpacks. My mother had the annual pass and reserved all three rooms under her name with one reservation number. As Ratpack stated, they then took the names of what people were staying in what room. When we checked in we each paid for our own rooms. :)
