Hello everyone!
My name is Wayne and my wife and I are joing DVC this friday.
Very excited.
I recently checked out this forum to get a better idea of what to expect from DVC.
On my last visit I read something about "calling everyday to check reservation availbility"?
You can't just call and check to see if something is availible and book it?
Please help me better understand,

What you read about was "day by day" reservations. DVC has actually just changed the reservation policy so that you can make a 7 day reservation (7 or 11 months) from the day of check in. The old policy was 7 or 11 months from day of check out, so people would call each day to add one more day to their reservation . For certain times of the year (and room types) it could be risky to wait until you could book the whole trip--certain days may not be available and you would have to waitlist.

DVC is confusing at first, but you'll get the hang of it. As Chelle said, they just changed their booking policies. I definitely recommend checking out the DVC section of the boards-they are very helpful.
