Ok, I've never done this before. I sent in my request almost a week ago. I haven't called MS to see what the status is. I wondered if anyone here ever books that way and what the next step is?? I tried to use the DIS search feature but it is disabled. Can anyone fill me in on what the normal process is for online reservation requests to MS???? Thanks a bunch.
:D

I'd call MS right away. We have only used the online reservation once and they got back to us within 48 hours.

Did you put your request through on the Member Only section of the web site? The general web site takes requests for cash reservations.

I'd take DVC-Don's advice and call. They always promise to reply in 48 hours and that has always been my experience.

Hi,

I'd call member services. I just got my conformation yesterday. I got mine within 2 days. I'd give them a call.

I agree with the others, call them right away. I booked online in February, and heard from them within 24 hours. I then received another confirmation in the mail within a week.

Well, thanks for all of the advice. I just got off the phone with MS. Come to find out, MS is way behind in handling their e-mail reservation requests. And yes, I did this request through the Members Only part of the website. The CM said that they are in the process of getting more people trained to handle the e-mail reservations. I guess more and more people are using that method. So my e-mail is sitting somewhere in a long line of other e-mails. Fortunately I was able to secure my 1 bedroom SV at BWV for May 29-June 5. Thought I would pass this along to anyone else who may be waiting to hear back. CALL!!!!!!

This is why we always call in when making reservations and this is specifically why DVC has what is the crappiest of all Disney web sites.

Why is it, that you can book reservations and pay for them for every single other Disney hotel/resort/vacation/cruise online, but not DVC? We book a $6000 cruise and pay online, we have no problems whatsoever and see the cabin we're getting at the time we make the reservation. We book a RV site at Fort Wilderness through the website, pay for it, and handle everything for it online. DVC boasts about how their website is going to be so great, telling everyone for the better part of a year about all the improvements they're making - about a really great messageboard they're developing - that was 2 years ago people. Until DVC gets with the program and makes true online reservations a reality, they'll have to deal with being understaffed that they can't even get to the email requests and people will be waiting on hold longer as membership continues to grow.

It's really sad when you think about it, because it's really a simple thing to do.

Until they allow directly making a reservation through the website, what they offer is nothing more than a joke.
