We are going to Fort Wilderness in December 2010. :cool1: We are going to be there hopefully from Dec 30 thru Jan 6. Can someone tell me is it better to make two reservations: Dec 30 - Jan 1 and then Jan 1 thru Jan 6 or do one reservation Dec 30 thru Jan 6 and hope for the best to get the reservation?

I assume the earilest I can make it for Dec 30 thru Jan 1 is Aug 21?

Thanks for any information. Dennis

When you made a ressie in the old days whatever rate was available for the first day was the same rate for your entire stay. (Up to 30 days) Back then it was a good idea to break your stay down into different ressies. Now with the new pricing system it doesn't matter what day you start your ressie ....each individual day has its own price. Weekends higher, holidays higher...etc. Go ahead and book your entire stay on one reservation. Hope that makes sense...I didn't explain it very well.
On rereading your post, I see your question is more about availability over New Years. Hmmm might be a good idea to book the 30 & 31 first.....then call back a few days later and add the rest of your dates. I was told by reservations to call Aug. 18 for a Dec. 31 ressie.
