Reservations on different memberships

Sorry to make a whole thread on this, but can't find the answer, I have two different use years which equals two different memberships. So I am wondering, If I make a one night reservation on one membership and the next night on a different membership, can I ask guest services to combine these reservations so I don't have to move rooms or do I need to transfer all my points from one membership to the other and then book?

They won’t merge it as it is across different memberships. You can have them note it’s a continuing stay and you probably won’t have to move rooms (so they don’t have to provide housekeeping). If you don’t want to risk it, best move is to transfer points and do one booking.
Merging across memberships could be a way to circumvent the one transfer rule. Also odd you cancel, it would probably be a pain to reallocate points back for them as they would have to transfer back
