Reservations needed for Grand Floridian Tea?

Do you need to make reservations for the afternoon tea at the GF? I tried online last night and came up with a strange error message, then called the dining line and after waiting on hold for quite awhile, the CM couldn't find anything. I had the feeling she was looking for the wrong thing, as she asked me about dinner at the GF Cafe.

If you need an ADR for the tea, does it usually fill up? I was looking for this coming Saturday, so short time constraint may also be my problem.

We have always had ADR's for this and sometimes we had trouble getting ADR's as they fill up. What we found when we were unable to get ADR's is when we check in we go to the conciere and ask for an ADR and they are usually able to get us in.

Yes, you need an ADR for the Garden View Tea Room. It's quite a small space and they only serve the tea from 2-4:30 each afternoon, so it tends to fill up fast. You got the strange message when you tried to book online as they no longer allow you to book the tea online. You must call for an ADR.

When you call, ask for the "Garden View Tea Room" for the ADR, perhaps that will help with the confusion? Maybe you just got unlucky and got a new CM that isn't familiar with less well-known Disney restaurants.

The tea is awesome! It's a wonderful break from the hustle and bustle of the parks. Good luck and enjoy!
