Reservations near park closing.. help!!

I want to eat at Yak and Yeti in AK and the times they have provided are 4:30 and 4:45. The park closes at 5 PM. Will this give me enough time to eat and catch a bus? Or will I be stranded at Animal Kingdom?!

Don't worry. Disney doesn't force people to be stranded in the parks. My girlfriend and I often take the last ADR's of the night (usually at EC). Walking through a park after it is closed can sometimes be even more magical than getting into a park before RD. Your meal won't be rushed and you won't even be rushed out of the park. Enjoy your quiet walk back to the front of the park and not having to deal with a crowd to get on a bus.

I believe Disney routinely runs busses for about 2 hours after any park closes. And if a restaurant is running late, I am SURE that the manager alerts the bus system and they arrange for extras, even if they have to combine routes because there are only a few people who need rides.

And remember that there will also be people who had closing time ADRs at Tusker and at Rainforest too; they will ALL be needing a ride home.

Buses run at least an hour past closing. (usually more)

But in the onset it takes you so long to eat and everyone in AK has left (almost impossible within 1&1/2 of closing), the transportation person will get you back to your resort. Even if they have to call for a bus.

No worries, go and eat and enjoy!!

enjoy! It's always nice to slowly walk out of a park after closing.. I try to make my dinner reservations as close to park closing as possible. I also make breakfast reservations before park opening so we can be one of the few guests inside the parks before everyone else! it's a great opportunity to take a family picture with no one around!
