I have heard that If you book a custom wedding with Disney, Your guests get a discount on their reservations, I was wondering if anyone could explain a little more to me. Do they get a set amount off (Ie. 10% or $10 off per night)?? Does that include off of a package?? If you were to get free dining do you get it still??
Sorry for all the guestions, but I'm trying to get some final numbers together of how many guests and I want to be able to give them some info before they commit. I'm not going to call Disney to book my date until I have some solid numbers!!

Thanks to Everyone!!! :thumbsup2

Yes your guests will get a discount. But only if they make their reservations with the info from the save the dates that Disney sends.

The prices per night for my wedding in march are:

Deluxe
$276-$347
Moderate
$157
Value
$107

The discount is not applied to vacation pacages and they can add the dining plan for around $40 per person per day.

Really I am telling my guests to comparison shop. Is the package a better deal for them. Some people are only staying a few days so it makes sense to use the wedding discount. Also I am not going to worry about what everyone else is doing. I am getting them the info and letting them choose.

Ours in January are:

Animal Kingdom Lodge:$269.83/night
Grand Floridian Resort:$279.87/night
Caribbean Beach Resort:$131.57/night
All Star Movies: $80.23/night

I really don't know what the exact percentage was, because I have been told so many different things between my SM and WP! But I *think* for Deluxe its 30%, Moderate its 15%, and Value is 10%..Hopefully someone will correct me if that is incorrect, but I think that is what ours are set at. Also, suites I believe you get a 10% discount.

Thanks for all the help. My only worry is that our wedding is Oct 1st 2007 and if they offer free dining, all our guests will book that and than we wont meet our room requirement??? Or does it still count???
Thanks for the help Again :thumbsup2

Ok so I believe you get their reservation number you can apply that to your roomblock so that you can reach your min...however, your guests will NOT recieve the discount if they do the dining package.

any room on Disney property can be used for your min. room nights. we have guest staying at the Polynesian and using a FL resident discount and it counts as long as you get their confirmation number and forward that to your planner. The set amounts for rooms and what not will obviously change but when we did all of ours it was
10%for value
15% for moderate (i think)
and 20% for msot deluxe some are less. HTH
