Reservations for 9 people

Hi
We have a trip booked in December for 9 people. I have been playing with reservations 180 days from now just to get a feel of
how hard it will be to book what I want. A lot of restaurants do not show availability for 9 people but do have tables for 4 or 5.
If I go that route and book 2 reservations for 4 and 5 people will My Disney Experience allow me to do so or will it make me cancel
1 reservation to book the second? I have all 9 guests registered in My Disney Experience.

I have made reservations for up to 16 people. You need get online as soon as your date opens. I have found it’s easier to get the reservations around 4:30 when the dinner service starts. We have been separated into two tables at times even when the reservation was one

Just to add you may find some of the restaurants to not have the seating arrangements for 9 people and this also maybe why your not seeing larger tables.

Cinderella's Royal Table is very popular but should be able to seat your party size without issue especially at the side tables and Be Our Guest should not be an issue either as they have no issues doing large tables.

For BOG, don't be afraid to split the parties into multiple groups with reservations within 10 minutes (or so) of each other.

We are a party of 7 currently and have previously gone with a party of 10. I have another MDE account and have had to split up reservations between the two accounts multple times. This year for Garden Grill (they seem to have a very limited number of large tables). That's going to be the best way to split up BOG reservations too since MDE won't let you have overlapping reservations.

You can make multiple reservations at the same time if you make someone else the lead guest on the first one.

I made reservations for 9 over Christmas week once and was able to get reservations for the full 9 at every place I booked, except for Sci-Fi. But I made a reservation for 4 and one for 5 with my sister as the primary contact at times that were 15 mins apart and they were able to seat us at tables next to each other. I do remember having to call for Rainforest Cafe (nephew’s choice for his birthday), but they were able to accomodate us. We were well inside 180 days when I booked though, so I can’t speak to BOG and CRT.

i just made reservations for 9 a few weeks ago. we got artist point, BOG, hollywood and vine, Ohana, Chef Mickeys. The only place I wasn't able to get one for 9 was at Garden Grill. Make sure to log on right away when your window opens. You should be fine.
