Reservations before closing on points

Hi, Does anyone know if you are allowed to make reservations before closing your purchase? We just purchased and don't close until Jan 19th. I'd like to stay at my home resort during the 1st or 2nd week in December and am reading that this time frame books up pretty fast. Thanks!

If purchasing from Disney yes, you can call to reserve now through your sales agent; if purchasing resale, no. In fact, with resale you won't be able to reserve until DVD has you on the system which can take a week to two after you clase.

I just looked into this as I sent in my closing docs today and you can't have a reservation and close- if you did it would cancel the reservation when the transfer occurs.

If you own at a larger resort you might still be ok to reserve at the beginning of February.
