When a Waitlist comes thru does the Res. # change?

In May I made a Ressie for Dec. 5-10 for my SIL. There were no 1bdrms available at SSR so I made it for a 1bdrm at OKW and waitlisted for SSR. I did the automatic waitlist where they just send a new confirmation when or if it comes thru.

Well, today I recieved a new confirmation for the one bedroom at SSR but the ressie was no longer in my SIL name and it had a new Res. #.

Since I am new at this I am a bit concerned. I do not want two ressies or the pts taken out of my account for two ressies.
Of course, this happens after MS closed so I will have to wait until tomorrow to call. I am hoping someone with more experience than I, can give me a little feedback. TIA

You will have to call tomorrow, but you already knew that. anything can happen, just because it went one way for one person does not mean it will for you. Just relax and call tomorrow.

don't worry - when you changed resort the reservation number had to change.

the reservation number is based on when you call and your resort ID. (probably some other things - but I was told those 2 are there)

your points will be fine - but definitely call MS - so you will understand the process - they should have explained to you that your reservation number would change when your resort changed.
