If I pick up a second contract can I reserve at 11 months over the points in that contract using my second contract points to cover difference?

They have to both be for the same resort. You can not pick up a BLT contract, then using your other VGF contract, combine to book at the 11 month window at only one of them.

It is my understanding that MS will transfer points from one to the other for you as a courtesy and once a year I think.

If you are thinking about getting a second contract, why not just make them one account? Buy the same resort as the one you have now; get it titled the Exact same way, and then get combined into one "pool".

Someone else has to answer if they have to be the same UY to do this; as I have heard it both ways with regard to that point.

The home resort booking advantage (11 month window) only applies to points at that resort. If your new contract was for a different resort, you would not be able to combine at 11 months.

If your new contract has the same use year, you can seamlessly combine points to make a reservation. If they are the same home resort, you can combine at 11 months, and if they are different, then you can use them together at 7 months.

If you pick up a contract with a separate use year, they will be completely separate and you won't be able to combine points without transferring points from one to the other. Even still, transferred points retain their original home resort.
