Reservation walt list - Newbie Question

I called MS to book a 1-BR Sept 30 - Oct 5. I had a long list of alternatives, but of course BCV, BWV, VWL, and AKV were not available. So I booked at OKW.

Question: Even though I have this reservation, can I call MS back and ask to be wait-listed for the resorts that weren't available? If one of them does become avalable, will they automatically change my reservation?

If I recall correctly, you can call back and ask to be added to the waitlist.

On the waitlist you can either have them automatically switch it or call you first.

However, things may have changed since I last used the waitlist or my memory may be bad...best bet would be to call them and ask or wait for one of the experts to chime in...

I think you can only waitlist for one of the resorts not multiple>

I beleive you can waitlist for multiple resorts but the first one that comes through will be booked automatically- then the waitlist for all the other resorts will be cancelled. If you want to call back and waitlist for one of the ones that was cancelled you go to the back of the line.
This is just what I read here on the boards- someone on the boards said a MS rep explained it to them recently- it is a new system - it is supposed to go into effect today.

You were right. I called MS and gave them three choices to wait list (BCV, BWV, and VWL). She said if one became available, they would automatically book it, cancel the prior reservation at OKW, and drop all other wait lists.

I am fine with that.
