Reservation system troubles

Hi,

Today opened my 60 day window for dining reservations. I went on early this morning to make the reservations and the window for the trip had the days of the trip available to click on to make reservations. When i try to reserve anything however nothing shows as available? I don't really think all restaurants resort wide are sold out as when I click on the first day of the trip (the only one that would be open without resort reservation) availability comes up. We are staying at Swan Reserve but the Swan Dolphin resorts have always worked in the past for reserving at 60 days.

Just curious if anyone knows what I might be doing wrong or if it is a known issue right now with Disney's system.

Thanks, and Happy New Year to all.

Try specific times instead of meal periods. So for example "6:00" instead of "dinner". Try the incognito mode of your browser. Try using the individual page for each restaurant rather than the general dining reservation page. Hopefully at least one of these tricks shakes something loose!

Thanks for the reply and the suggestions. Tried them, but still no luck. Even tried using another browser and going through the app on my phone and the same thing, nothing shows up available past the first day of the vacation.

even tried calling but the wait time is over 2 hours at 8am in the morning. Not interested in spending over 2 hours waiting on hold to try to get them to try to fix their system so it actually works properly. Especially when I don't have a lot of faith that they would even be able to fix the problem.

@Donald Duck888 it should work, alas it's yet another case of the ongoing failure of Disney IT. I wish there was something you were doing wrong, but this lays at the feet of Disney - this has been going on to long and to consistent to be anything bu Disney's problem. Sorry.

Mine opened yesterday morning and it was the exact same for me. Almost nothing available that I wanted.

I am honestly almost to my breaking point with Disney. You are so right Steve, IT has been an ongoing issue with Disney and they just don't seem to want to spend any money to get it right. My best guess is it is something to do with it being Swan Reserve but it opened the window for me to bring up the days but then wont let me finish so I guess I really have no idea.

Then you try to call and they don't want to pay for enough cast members so that the wait time is ever below 2 hours.

Then I even tried the chat but that wont let me in as it says "all chat members are busy with other customers". Since when is a chat function not available?

Very frustrating all around. The experience just keeps getting less and less, costing more and more and becoming more and more frustrating to just try to work within the system as it is designed as so often things don't work the way they are supposed to work.

Been going to Disney multiple times a year for over 30 years now and things have really just been going down hill at an increasing rate of descent lately.

If we didn't have annual passes that expire in May this year I would probably just cancel the whole thing but as they will probably be the last annual passes we buy i really want to at least get the second use out of them to have them be worth it.

I guess I will just have to get up every morning for the next several days and do dining one day at a time and hope I can get at least a few of the restaurants we were hoping to get.

Sadly I've heard of similar issues for those staying at the Swan Reserve...not sure how anyone has gotten it resolved though other than calling and waiting on hold for hours...sending good vibes you ultimately get the ADRs you want.

I have found much of my experience with “the system” to be both frustrating and disappointing. “The system” last week sent out an email for every day of my upcoming trip saying there’s a problem and if you don’t respond by tomorrow…Christmas Eve…all reservations will be automatically canceled. I spend some very frustrating time on the phone only to find out “the system” unlinked my park reservations.
Also, you spend a fortune for Genie+ for something that used to be free, and I keep hearing the app went down. Well, wouldn’t that just leave you hanging in the middle of a day? Disney needs to keep “the system” in prime operating condition give the amount of money they are charging for everything. This is not the magical Disney that I have such fond memories of from the 80s and 90s! Rant over…I really hope you can get some of the reservations you were hoping for!

I had the same problem a few days ago. Staying at POFQ. Only the first day of the trip was clickable at the 60-day mark. I tried everything--and nothing worked. The other days finally opened up a couple of days later.

So, Still having issues a day later. Spent almost an hour on chat, (once i finally got through) to only end up with them telling me it might be a problem with their system recognizing my reservation. Ya think? Then I was told I could call to make reservations, I am not interested in waiting on hold 2 plus hours however.

I was thinking today that I bet it is because I have 2 reservations as I am staying at Swan Reserve first then finishing with a few nights at a Disney owned property. I bet somehow the fact of the Disney owned being at the end of the SR reservation is somehow messing things up. I will be interested to see what happens at the 60 day out from the Disney property reservation. Until then I am day to day trying to get what I can I guess.

Thankfully there is no "must do" we are after, although wanted to try 220 but something tels me that would have been tough even with things working correctly.

Same issues here today. Swan Reserve reservation, shows as linked in MDE and the days for length of trip highlighted in blue. But when we run a search, by reservation period or by time slot, it says no reservations available for any day but the first day of the reservation. So frustrating!

ETA: My DH had to call the dining line (who transferred him to to another line, something like guest services). They told him that you have to call for Swan Reserve right now (and they said Swan too) before the 60th day from when you're trying to get reservations.
