Reservation system outage 19-20th Oct

Oh to even think about getting ADRs sorted again!! Great! Roll on February. Let's hope this upgrade is a good one!!

Thought I would bring this back to the top as a reminder the Disney reservation system will be down from tomorrow til Thursday.

I know at least part of the upgrade is to bring the DVC live booking system online (not sure if it'll be live straight away or not though) - currently the only way to book DVC rooms online is to fill out an email form and a CM books it and mails you back with the details manually

The date for DVC online bookings has been given as 2011 but no set date.

This upgrade is meant to be so they can email reservation confermations and take payments.

You would not believe how many times I have read things wrong on here over the years.

Tempted fate there... of 7 ADRs only 2 remain on the system when I go to retrieve them.
There's a big thread on the dining board about it. Huge amount of confusion/worry. Apparently it's rumoured it will be sorted out by the 20th. At least I have my emails and confirmation numbers

Hope they sort that out. Will be a lot of unhappy diners if they have lost ressies.

Just read this. This will be why they are saying the 20th then.

Update: Another planned outage will take place at 6 pm, October 19 through the early afternoon of October 20. This will affect the same reservation systems as the outage on October 12.

Sorry, I used terrible grammar before. When I said bringing it online for live dvc bookings I just meant the infrastructure.

Ho hum I was assuming that after the system came back up today the ADRs would all be showing up again, but guess what? Only 2 still
I haven't bothered calling up about it - in all likelyhood the're still there.
