Reservation Request Question

I booked with Disney Reservations by phone and requested a preferred location and building for our stay in 8 days at ASM and CRB. I'm reading that some people are calling the resort directly to make requests......should I call the resorts also or just leave it with the reservations I made with 1407wdisney?

Calling the resort directly will probably do you no good.

Call the reservation center and have them put your requests on the res.

The Resort won't be able to help you, they'll send you to Central Reservations. You can call the Res Center and make your request, but remember it will be a -Request- because they can't guarntee it. As long as it's noted on the ressie, the resort will TRY to accomodate you.

Also if you are staying at CBR, there are buildings that are preferred that cost extra nightly. If you are trying to be close to the main pool and food court Trinidad North and Martinique cost extra.

Asking for a preferred location without paying extra chances are you will not get that location.

As long as your requests are in your reservation no need to call the resort.

Ok, for our upcoming trip, we are splitting our stay btwn. CBR and AKL. Looking at my planning sheet, I have a lot of preferences for both resorts, like 3rd floor or Aruba, etc. I am a little self-conscious about inundating the CRO agent with these requests right away. I thought I saw somewhere that a poster included a letter with their deposit check and it listed their requests. Has anyone done this? Of course, I would call CRO later to ensure that the requests were noted, but just wondering how effective the letter method has been. Thanks!
