Reservation question?

I received a quote from Dreams Unlimited. My mother received a quote from another TA for the same week. I called disney to make sure the room was booked before I gave out my credit card number and they didn't have a room booked for me, but had one for my Mom who hasn't paid anything yet either. Does anyone know why they wouldn't have anything in my name? Has anyone actually booked through Dreams Unlimited and knows how this works.

It was my understanding..that you had to put the $250 down per person in order to have your room held in your name..otherwise you take your chances.
