To save money and also to not waste food i like to order 3 adult meals for our family of 5 with 2 adults and 3 kids.

My question is. Can i reserve for 5 people at say be our guest but not have everyone order?

Yes, you can. Any restaurant that is a la carte, you can order whatever you want. If you are eating at any AYCTE place, then you have to pay for all members of your party.

This is a great option because sometimes you just want a few apps, desserts and drinks. Or like you mentioned sharing an entree. I don't think the entrees at disney are as large as we (or you) are used to at home -- I'm not a huge eater when dining out, hate feeling overfull. I'd have to say that we didn't have very many meals with my family where we felt we were wasting and leaving a lot left over.

I think meal sharing is smart. In general, the portions are quite large at many WDW restaurants.

Thanks everyone.

And yes we save a ton of money by bringing in lots of food into the parks and also splitting meals.

We do breakfast at the rental. Then one meal either also at the rental or we bring a meal in. For example chicken ceasar salad.

Then we do one meal at a restaurant where we split 3 orders between us 5.

And if its not quite enough food. No problem. We bring a bunch of snacks too and also buy and share in park snacks.

I mean sure we all want our own chocholate chip massive ice cream sandwhich but is that really necessary?
