Reservation Question

Hi All,

I am curious about reservations regarding the DDP. I have heard that it is more difficult to get a reservation on the DDP versus off the DDP. In other words, I want to eat at O'hana at 6:30 on a Friday. On the DDP I would get a no and off I would get a yes.

That is just a for example. I know if depends on the time of year and such but generally speaking.

I have been a long time skeptic about the DDP and we are trying to figure out what to do.

Thanks.

Nope, makes no difference. The availability is what it is, you can "pay" however you want.

Great. Thanks.

Do things get messy when you book a room reservation with DDP while using an Annual Pass?

We just bought into DVC and I am trying to figure all this craziness out!

As the pp said, there is availability or there's not and having the DDP or not having it doesn't make any difference as to whether or not you'll get an ADR somewhere.

Whether or not you are on DDP makes absolutely no difference as far as availability of restaurant reservations.

The DDP is an alternate payment method, nothing more.

The restaurant reservation system is separate from the room reservation system. The only reason the restaurant system needs to know you have DDP is if you want to book a prepaid reservation (CRT or a dinner show) so they won't charge you the full cost of the meal at the time you book.

Otherwise, the restaurant system doesn't care if you have DDP, whether you paid for DDP, or whether you are an annual passholder, or a DVC member.
