Reservation question

i'm not sure how this works so here goes.. We are looking to stay in BWV in March. it is not our home resort so we can't book until August. should we book our home resort now and ask to be put on a waiting list for BWV or just wait until August and request it then? Do you have a better shot at getting your request if you book earlier? thanks for your help!

I own at BWV, so I always book there at the 11 month window. I think OKW ans SS are both the easiest to book at 7months. For anything else, I would say to book your home resort at the 11month window and then check back at 7 months to see if there is ávailability to switch. If you book your home resort at 11months, at least then you have a reservation (usually).

You would probably get more responses and input if you post this question on the DVC boards.

If BWV is not your home resort, you cannot get on the waitlist until 7 months.
