Reservation Question

Hello All - I've been checking out the DVC boards for a while now and have been absorbing all of the great information all of you have so thank you. I've learned alot from many of you.

Have a question on a reservation I have at Beach Club. Made our initial reservation for our home resort, Bay Lake Tower, at 11 mos for arrival 6/8/11 through 6/18/11. At 7 mos, the change was made to Beach Club and I was allowed to change 7 days of the reservation, assuming I would change the last 3 days on each of the consecutive days following. When I called 11/9 to change the 8th night to Beach Club, I was informed that this could not happen and I would need to wait until 11/15 to change my remaining 3 nights. It is the same reservation number with the first 7 nights at BC(6/8/11 thru 6/15/2011) and the last 3 at Bay Lake(6/15/11 thru 6/18/11)

Does this appear to be accurate, waiting until 11/15 to reserve the balance of the 3 nights? Would have thought I could change a day at a time until the balance of 3 days was switched to BC.

Looking forward to your thoughts on this one.

It doesn't seem right, but there are many here that would know better then I do...

It seems right, if you think about it. A 7-day reservation, and a 3-day reservation. Since you basically had to make 2 reservations, you have to wait until the 7-month mark for the 1st day of that "2nd" reservation. That would be 11/15.

Actually, you should be able to delete a day of the BLT reservation and add a seventh day (actually the eighth day) on 11/9.

The next day you should be able to add a day. I would word it that way. This should not be a problem. Call again.

You are basically dropping a night from one reservation and adding it to another. You should be able to do it as you would be able make a reservation for that day plus the next 6.

I would call back. If you have booked, until the 15th, you should be able to extend that first vacation by a day. What you simply have to do is tell them to drop the 15th from the BLT reservation and add it to the BCV reservation.

From what I understand, you can book up to 7 nights from the date, so it should be allowed.

Hello All - Called back yesterday morning, different person but same request. She placed me on hold for a few minutes and when she returned said she had cancelled the remaining 3 nights at BLT and added the 3 nights at BC.

We are all set for our June 2011 holiday, 2 BR at BC. Can't wait!
