When making reservations, how do they count infants? Do they count them as a person or not in total head count?

For example:
We are traveling with another family. We will have two adults one child and one infant in our family and they will have two adults 2 children and one infant in theirs. Total head count of 9 people, however I know the infants won't be eating off the menu.

When we want to book table service with our friends, would we need to book for 9 people or 7 people? :confused3

Thanks,
jason

last year we had a party of 15, 2 of which were under 3. they were included in the headcount. i made reservations for 15.:yay:

In the days when you called for dining I would always just advise that we had an infant in the party.

They are added to the head count because most likely you will want a high chair for them.
