Reservation Question

Hello All! I've been a member of the "DIS" for awhile but rarely post. I lurk a lot and mostly monitor the camping threads. We love camping and love camping at Disney even more. We usually camp there two to three times a year for the last 10 years. I just made reservations for next week and the way my reservation is booked seems odd to me. It's certainly never happened before. I thought I would ask all the DIS experts to see if this has happened to them and if it will work out ok.

I made my original reservation for two nights. I was lucky enough to get a passholder rate for a preferred site. I wanted to modify the reservation and come in a day earlier, to have a total of 3 nights. Because there was no availability at the passholder rate, the reservation agent booked a completely new reservation for the first night at a regular rate. She assured me that because both of my reservations were for preferred sites I wouldn't have to move our camper. Like I said, this hasn't happened to us before and I'm a little nervous about it. Anyone else have any experience with this situation? If so, how did it work out for you?

Thanks in advance to all the DIS experts!

We had the same thing happen to us this year. I was so worried that we would have to move. We had a passholder rate for 6 nights and regular rate for 3 nights. We had to go up and re-register at the front desk in the morning, but we did not have to change sites. I've heard many on the boards say the say thing!

Have fun and enjoy your trip! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the response. I appreciate it. I'm relieved to hear that we won't have to move but it sounds like a pain in the you know what to go and re-register. Seems like in this modern age Disney's reservation system should be able to handle this, or at least let you register for the second reservation when you register for this first. Oh well. At least we won't have to move.

We've had "linked" reservations at FW several visits now for various reasons. Every time we were told when we made them that we MIGHT have to change sites.

When we checked in they said it wasn't a problem and have never made us move. Worst case one time when we had to go up to the front desk and check out and back in and get new key cards, otherwise it has never been a problem.

Have fun!
