Reservation question

I was wondering, if I book a room-only reservation, and disney comes out with a package deal (similar to the free disney dining program they had last year) - can I switch?

You most certainly can - DW and I did that last year. We booked a room-only and then they came out with a deal that saved us an additional $200 - with the park tix included!!

Just keep in mind, though, that when switching from a room-only reservation to a package, they cannot transfer the money from one to the other (since they are booked in different systems). Thus, they will refund your room-only deposit, and you will then have to apply a new deposit to the package.
