Reservation question- bringing an additional person

i have made reservations for 5 for the Edison and ohana and have found out that we are going to have an extra person joining us. No reservations for 6 are available. Will they let us add the person when we show up with 6? The trip dates are May 4 and 5

I wouldn’t count on it. If the restaurant is completely booked, they won’t allow more people in. Have you tried looking for an ADR for a party of 1 near your current times?

Generally speaking, moving from an odd number to an even number is the easiest as chances are you'll already be slated for a table that size. But it's not guaranteed - and there are overall occupancy restrictions. I'd try to edit the reservation and/or keep looking. The Edison also takes reservations via Open Table. I tried looking for availability over your dates and it said for a party of six to call them directly: 407-560-9288.

The touring plans reservation finder can be a good tool as well. Good luck!

BUT-have a plan B. If they cannot accommodate you all will the extra person eat on their own or will you all leave and have to pay the &10/person fee?

Were you just looking on MDE, or did you call the restaurant or Disney dining? I have had much more success calling Disney DIning or the restaurant directly then changing the reservation in MDE.
As others have said going from an odd number to even is much easier then even to odd. In all likelihood, you already are seated at a table for 6 and isn't really an issue.
