Reservation Modification Question

This is the first time I may need to modify a reservation and want to make sure I understand correctly. Reservation will be for 7 nights with 5 points coming from banked points, 70 points coming from current year and 40 points that would be borrowed from next year. If I later want to modify reservation so that it's only for 4 nights, is it correct that reservation will first use the 5 points that were banked and 40 points that were borrowed before using current year's points?

Yes. And if there's an issue, call MS and they should be able to fix.
