Yes, as long as there is availability.

Many thanks, do you know if this also applies to concierge categories?

Yes, you can upgrade to any available category, but you will lose the OBB discount and reduced deposit if you apply it to a concierge reservation (I believe you retain the OBC). Also, concierge reservations are non-refundable if something comes up later that changes your travel plans.
