I have a reservation for the Tusker House at 9:35 AM at the Animal Kingdom.. What time should I plan to leave the hotel??? We are staying at the All-Stars Sports.. We have a 2 1/2 year old so want to make sure we leave in plenty of time.

It is the recommendation to leave 90 mins before you ressie. People "tweak" this guideline though.

I am not familar with where the All Stars are in relation to AK, but I would say if you aren't familar with it either, do the 90 min timeframe.
If the park opens at 9am then it may be a bit crowded at the gate, so that would give you plenty of time to get in. If you are early you could always have someone get FP for the safari ride.

The All Stars Resort is pretty close to AK. I'd probably be at the bus stop by 8:30am.

Okay thanks so much.. Atleast I can sleep until 715.. I will probably be so excited, I wont be able to sleep!! ;)

Yes, the earlier the better. That's what we did last time. Not only for meals but just in general. We skipped all the lines by getting to all the parks early. This was a tip I got from the dis & was the best one I ever had. We did all the attractions by noon-3 & relaxed after.

i would leave your room at 8pm. you need time to walk to the bus stop, stand in line, wait for the bus, ride the bus, walk to the entrance, get in, and walk to the restaurant which is a bit of a walk from the entrance. They will hold your reservation for 15 min past the time, so dont freak out if you are late.

It can be hard to sleep in at the hotels, especially if you have neighbors who are up and showering... only my husband can sleep through that!

One tip, go to the safari ride, which is very close to the restaurant and get Fast Passes, b/c once your done eating your FP time will be ready for you! We love to do that!!!

Eat some cheese blintzes for me!!

Ok.. Thanks for the tips.. I do remember Tusker House being very close to the safari.. :) I will eat the blintzes for ya.. I cant wait!!!

We always eat breakfast at TH whenever we visit AK.

I would suggest trying to get an earlier time if available....the earlier the better. It's pretty cool to be allowed in before the park officially opens, and you are already pretty far back when yer done eating. This makes more of a difference when the park is busy.

Our next trip we have an 8:15 ADR...the park opens at 9am.

I wish we could go earlier but with the baby, I dont want to get too worn out that first day... I was planning on letting him sleep and not have to wake him up... ;(
