Hoping someone can help me, I've been on hold with Disney for 1/2 hour! I have a room/ticket reservation for 3 people in November and I already made my fast passes. If I switch my ticket to an AP, and modify the reservation to take my ticket off, will I lose my fast passes? TIA!

You can also just upgrade to an AP when you get there in November.

^^^This. You will have to go to a ticket window or guest services to activate your AP anyhow, so why not just upgrade in November.

Agreed.
No advantage in making the change before you arrive.

BTW, if you have your tickets as PART of your resort package (room and tickets,)
if you change one ticket to an AP, you'd have to do that to every guest in your package.

OTOH, if you wait until you arrive, you can treat each guest's ticket individually.

Thanks y'all! I didn't even think of that. Will it be a problem if the tickets were bought at a discount through a travel agency? (Not sure if I can mention the name of the agency here)

Depends on if you have magic your way (regular) tickets or a special group ticket. Some tickets sold by certain travel agents are actually like a convention ticket. They are generally a good bit cheaper than disney's prices (like 10%) and have a bonus visit to a water park included. If that is the type of ticket you have it is not able to be upgraded to an AP.

They are "3 day magic your way base + 1 fun" which includes a water park.

The + 1 fun sounds like the special group tickets to me. We used a travel agent in the past who got amazing deals on rooms and had that same type of ticket. I specifically asked about buying tickets from them to upgrade to AP because they were so cheap. Luckily my travel agent informed me that these tickets were unable to be upgraded to AP as they were a special group discounted ticket. I'd check with your travel agent but it sounds like yours might be the same.

There has been a rash of discussion of these "plus one fun" Travel Agency tickets (and associated "Can I upgrade?" questions) in the past couple of weeks.
I don't know, for sure, one way or the other, if they can be upgraded.

I DO know that since WDW does NOT SELL these tickets at the gates, there is no way to tell
what these tickets should be "worth" if a guest can, in fact, upgrade them.
We have nothing with which to compare the value.
A CM offering "X amount" in an upgrade transaction may be completely wrong
(or 100% correct) in his/her figures, and we have no way of knowing it.
