This whole thread is reminding me of a few years ago when I was standing at an ice cream stand with two 13-14 year olds in front of us. They had their Keys to the Kingdom & were trying to get Mickey bars with snack credits. Except they had CLEARLY (to all 20 of us in line) used all of their snack credits. The CM was trying to be nice to them but they were completely going off on this poor CM. They were just sure they deserved mickey bars for free even without snack credits.

It also reminds me of two years ago at All Star Sports when dh & I were in line behind a teenage boy who was buying random things. The CM told him that they equalled more than a CS & he had no snack credits left so he needed to put something back. The boy said he didn't want to put something back (he obviously didn't have charging privilages because his parents weren't fools) so the CM said his only option was to use a TS. He readily agreed. DH & I both agreed that when his parents (they were at a table nearby) realized what he had done they would be LIVID. We almost wanted to tell them ourselves just as something amusing to do, but held ourselves back.

I'm just a few short years away from experiencing all of this myself (3 daughters) and as I view my future it is with both excitement and a lot of fear.

To the OP, you'll have a good time. Try all the suggestions above to have the best dining possible. And PLEASE say thank you constantly to the brave adult who is taking you & your cousin. Clearly they are very nice about taking you to Disney World & spending lots of money on you. Make sure they know how much you appreciate their generousity and that you know most kids do not get to experience what you are.

And never forget respectful teenagers (and adults) get MUCH better customer service than people with attitude.

Just FYI...when I make my ADR's (usually VERY far in advance - except once for a last minute trip), I think about anyone who might wind up wanting to come with us...and that's how many I reserve for...that way, if they do come along, they can join us if they like, and if they don't come or don't want to go to the restaurant we're going to (I have a cheapo sister, lol) I can just call and downsize the number...never a problem.

IF i dont get my money's worth for the Free dining...

Sorry, that cracked me up a little bit!! :rotfl2:

I know what your trying to say, and I can appreciate the stress of trying to get plans made - just the phrasing alone struck me as funny.

Obviously this teenager is very spoiled. Poly, sense of entitlement pity the poor parents who nurtured this attitude. IMO If their is any justice extra person will not be accomodated to teach a valuable lesson that I am not so sure they will ever comprehend.

I just got back from WDW and this post infuriates me to no end. I had ADR's no dining plan paying out of pocket for all meals and had to wait an hour even with ADR's because of all the over booking and then to top it off, they were serving our entree about 2 minutes after bringing appetizers. I had to change my ADR's due to extra people, I wasn't able to get all the restaurants that I wanted when I changed but I made sure I had ADR's for the right amount of people, I didn't show up and expect them to seat me and people like the OP are the reason I had to wait over an hour. Be considerate of other people, if you have to eat counter service so be it that was your choice to add someone and your mistake not to try and fix it sooner.

U know What If u have Nothing NICE to say dont say it at all!! WOW i feel more mature then all of u combind...

Plus Free dining isnt "FREE" Dont forget Tips and Other snacks and stuff u may want it starts to add up its Really just 50$ A person per day ( a WDW CAST MEMBER TOLD ME ) and some places Equal 2 table service credits making u go over your limit and end up paying for smoe meals
Please I doubt u guys get 1 Snack per day

Meh. If you don't like other people's opinions, don't ask for them on a public discussion board, where it is very unlikely that everyone will agree and sympathize with whatever minor plight you face.

Hopefully you get lucky, and things work out. Keep calling, and be flexible. However, keep in mind (and this comes from a former Cast Member, who worked in Dining...) you get alot further being polite and courteous than you do acting entitled and rude.

Good luck.
