We added my cousin 3 weeks ago and just now we tried to add him on are Dining reservations and now there saying theres no room?? :headache::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: I doubt they have 2 person only tables and chef mickey's crystal palace, 50's prime time, and yak and yeti!!!

Really???? i mean do u think if i walk up and say we have another 13 year old joining there going to tell us to leave? IF i dont get my money's worth for the Free dining and we end up eating at Counter service the whole trip im going to:mad::mad::mad::mad: Go insane .

If you have tried and were unsuccessful, I would recommend you show up and explain that there was a last minute change. You may have to wait a bit longer but from what I have heard from other guests the restaurants will fit you in.

I had one less person once due to a sickness on my teppan edo adr and she told me I was ok since it was one less, if it was the other way around they would not be able to sit all of us. ADR's are based on party size and available tables to fit that party size. Trust me if others have to wait because you changed your plans and didn't get your ADR adjusted then you will make a lot of other people mad.

CM, CP and Yak and Yeti have 2 top tables, I am not sure about prime time. I have sat at them myself when DD and I go on an occasional trip by ourselves.

Prime time has two tops as well, and since you now have three you would need a four top at all of those places, the most popular, and most difficult to get table size- try walking up you may have to wait longer, but they will probably take you. Teppen Edo is a special case because of the fact that they have to combine parties to get their tables of eight at the grill thing. It is even booked differently in the reservation system (no table tops, just number of seats at certain times).

No offence but i dont really care if other people get mad .. what are they going to do about it. I did not get the meal plan for Counter service what am i going to do have Mc Donalds the whole trip

EDIT also i remember last year at Chef mickeys there was seating with a Big Long booth that had tables infront of it ( i think it was towards the entrance not the inner glass area)

It's going to be ok. Just explain when you check-in that you had a last minute add-on. We did this once and it was no problem. I think that the restaurants are going to be less busy than they think because a lot of people have double booked dining reservations:headache: with the new online system. If the restaurant is really busy, they may tell you its a no-go or you may have to wait as a previous poster stated. If that happens, you may have to find something else for that one time. However, I think at most restaurants that you will be ok. I would give it a shot. Relax and have a good time. Don't let missing one restaurant ruin your vacation!:yay: I would also keep trying to call or try to make a new ressie with the online system. If you get in, you can call and cancel the others. There are always last minute cancellations.

Good luck!!:banana::cool1::banana::cool1:

No matter what--you are going to have a great time.:woohoo:

It's not a matter of whether or not other guests get angry or whether or not you care. Simply keep in mind that if you show up with 3 instead of 2, and the ADR is for 2, and no 4-top tables are available without bumping the entire list of incoming 4-top ADRs, they have zero obligation to seat you. They can, and in many cases have, told guests that they will not accommodate them -- every TS has the right and ability to do this. You may get lucky, but keep trying online to do it the legitimate way so as to avoid any disappointment on game day.

Wow, I can not believe you said that. I am sorry that this hurts so bad but you can try everyday, multiple times for openings up till you check in and I would even try during my trip to see if anything opens up. Use the want/trade thread to see if anyone there can help you out. My parents mentioned the other day about joining us in Oct. and I made it clear that I was not sure I could get them dining with us.They will wait for another year. Good luck:thumbsup2

My advice is to show up early as you will prob have to wait. Seems dining is very strict about the ADR's. I called the other day to add my Sis & Bil to our Biergarten as they decided last minute to go to Fl for a few days. To my horror my orignal ADR's were in system for the wrong amount of people. Took 2 hours to straighten out & if I were not persistent & PATIENT enough to stay on the phone & not take no for an answer it seemed they were NOT going to add the additional person even though it was their fault. BTW your attitude about adding your cousin will NOT help your cause as you are asking for a HUGE request considering your list is some of the most sought after ADR's and Disney is under no obligation to oblige you.

When you book an ADR, they assign your party to a table. Let's say there are two in your party, they've assigned you to a table for two.

If you call and say you now have three, they have to assign you to a three-person table. Since you're going in a few days, it's very understandable that all of the three-person tables have already been filled. That's why they can't help you.

When you get to the restaurant, explain the situation and ask if they can help you out. They will try, and if there's been a cancellation, they may be able to seat your party. You may have to wait a long time till a table opens up.

If, however, all of the tables that would fit your party are booked for the rest of the night, then they can't seat all of you. It's not like they can tell some other family that has had a reservation for months that they have to give up their table.

Having the dining plan doesn't guarantee that you'll get a table, or that you can add people at the last minute. It's the guest's responsibility to make their reservations in a timely manner, and if they don't, they're out of luck.

I'm sorry, I know that sounds really harsh, but that's the way dining works at WDW. I really hope they're able to accommodate your cousin at all of your meals, but it's wise to have a plan B in place, just in case.

It's always better to have an ADR than to walk up, so keep calling, even after you get to WDW. People do cancel, and you can even find openings on the same day, sometimes.

Good luck! :thumbsup2

Why did you wait 3 weeks to try and add him to your ADR's. sorry but you messed up not the rest, not the people who made the correct ADR's and should not be inconvenienced because you took your time adding on the 3rd person.

The restaurants have so many seats and if you don't fit you don't fit, the world doesn't owe you even if you think they do. Start looking now for ADR's for 3 and quit trying to blame everybody but yourself.

I hope you can get tables for your party.

I would suggest to keep trying until you go but also try from your hotel room when you check in as people can cancel nearer to the time.

WELL WELL WELL, I booked my trip last September while I was there for the bounce back promotion, Its just me and my son, well my sister and nephew want to go now and take in mind that I made all these great ADRs for me and my son, at the 90 day mark, So what I have to do now is just keep calling and checking online for a party of four which is not an easy task but thats what I signed up for when I added my sister and nephew at the last minute, now with my situation Me and my son will keep most of our ressies because they were the impossible ones to get, so what we have had to do is change some of our dinner TS for lunch so that we could eat together and some we just had to change the restaurants all together and for the ones that I just could not part with like Lecelliar and Ohana I found them somewhere else that night to eat around the same time we are dinning at Lecelliar, what the original poster needs to do to be on the safe side is maybe consider keeping her ressies for the two and hope for the best but she may have to have one of the Adults sit it out, or she will need to part with the ADR for 2 and find an ADR that will accommodate 3. there are plenty of ADR's that will accommodate her it may not be all of the ones that she wants, but if she wants the security of knowing that all of them will eat together she needs to keep calling or change the restaurant, and we all must remember that when one decides to modify there reservation it is on them it is not Disney's responsibility to accommodate your change. One more thing if a person goes in with the attitude that they don’t care who gets mad and the World revolves around them, they may just find themselves not being accommodated at any of the restaurants, cause if I was at the podium and attitude came thru with a request the only thing I would give them is the WDW dinning line number and a smile! Kindness and respect for others will get you more than you could imagine!

When you show up with three people when you have a reservation for two they will more than likely tell you that the larger tables are all booked. Because of safety and other Guest quality concerns an additional chair cannot be added to the table, as it would either partially block the aisle or make it impossible for someone to get seated at the adjoining table. Do not be surprised if they tell you that you may have to wait for an hour, or that they are overbooked and cannot fit you in.

Of course, when you decided to add him, you could have tried to make reservations for dining at that time, instead of waiting three weeks. And I know people in tech support positions who say "Poor planing on your part does not consititute an emergency on my part".

Um...."Free" means you did not pay for it. :rotfl:

Exactly! :thumbsup2

I can't believe the OP's sense of entitlement ... "I don't really care if other people get mad". Nice attitude, dude. :sad2: You really should've expected this kind of problem getting an ADR changed at this late date ... it's an intrinsic part of the free dining you'll be partaking of.
