reservation changes after the 45 day deadline

I have a question for you all............

July 18 is my cutoff date for the 45 days mark ...does anybody know the penalty if I have to take a person off my reservation... Dealing with a health issue and one may not be able to go if health is the reason (nothing serious just side affects from certain meds

Do you have a package including tickets (or a ticketless package with dining)? If so, there will probably be a $50 change fee because you are making your package less expensive. If you have room-only, AFAIK there's no penalty.

Can you call and take him off, then if he is able to go add him later.

I'd phone and ask if you can do that. I don't think there should be any charges to add someone, you might have to pay the balance in full when you add him.

Last year when I was making a package reservation I asked what the best idea was for dealing with someone that was unsure if they'd be able to come. The cast members I spoke with (I did the call back several times and ask the same question to see what the most common answer was) said it was best to take them off the reservation before the 45-day mark and then add them back on if they decide to join the trip. If you change a reservation after the 45-day mark there is a fee, but if you are increasing the overall value of the package (i.e., adding someone) then the fee is usually waved. If you lower the value of the package (i.e., remove someone) then the fee is usually applied.
